Each session will be convened jointly by scientists from Brazil and Germany. In the morning of the second day the four sessions will have separate discussion rounds which will be reported on in a round table discussion in the afternoon of the second day to identify gaps of knowledge in our understanding of formation and development of deep convection. On the third day flight planning, logistical, and technical questions to prepare the ACRIDICON-CHUVA campaign will be discussed. It is intended to summarize the outcome of the discussion in a workshop report to be published in BAMS.
