Transportation from/to hotel/INPE

The transportation from the hotel to the INPE is at your own. The average taxi price is around 25 BRL.

Transportation from/to the airport

The nearest international airport from the venue location is São Paulo International Airport (GRU) in Guarulhos, SP. São Paulo International Airport is located around 80 km (50 miles) from São José dos Campos. Both cities are connected with two major highways (Rodovia Presidente Dutra and Rodovia Carvalho Pinto).

Public Transportation from the GRU airport

1. Taxi: "Guarucoop" (http://www.guarucoop.com.br) offers 24-hour service form the Airport to São José dos Campos. The approximate cost is USD 150.

2. Bus: There is a bus called "Pássaro Marrom" to go from Guarulhos International Airport (GRU) to São José dos Campos (SP). The booth is located outside the arrival level at Terminal 2 in Guarulhos Airport and the bus stop is located in front of the booth.

Entry Requirement Brazil

Participants are advised to enquire at a travel agency or the nearest Brazilian Consulate regarding visa requirements for entry into Brazil. A list of Brazilian representative offices can be found at http://www.portalconsular.mre.gov.br/. This is the site of Brazilian Consulates and Embassies around the world, with a map where you click and find out the information you need. This site is in Portuguese but they have e-mail where you can contact them in English.

Power Supply

The power supply in São José dos Campos is 220V and the standard plug is two rounded pins (with a third in the middle for ground). This type of plug is pretty new in Brazil. An image is attached.
